Connect to a friend
right in your browser.
No server.
Nothing to install. Swap codes and your two browsers link up directly, with nothing in between.
No friend around? Try it with your phone and your PC. Open this page on your PC and scan the QR with your phone camera. Your phone shows a reply: send it to yourself (Share, Discord, email) and paste it here. Turn off Wi-Fi on your phone first to test a real connection across the internet.
1. Your code
Let your friend scan the QR, or send them the link below.
2. Your friend's code
Paste their code or link, or add a screenshot of their QR code.
You can also drop an image here, or paste one with Ctrl+V.
Connected
Tap one. It pops up on their screen, straight from your browser to theirs.
Your name: Want to add another friend? Your code above is fresh again.
Codes include your public IP address, like any website sees. Swap them in a DM, not a public channel.
Why this matters
Today every new browserCoin node gets introduced to the others through two small servers I run. If they go down, nobody new can join, and a network nobody can join slowly dies.
This test shows the fix: the introduction is just a short code, and any channel can carry it. A DM, a QR code, a photo of a screen. After that the two browsers talk directly, encrypted. The next browserCoin release uses this exact code.
